The month of September in fourth class was focused around the examination of the built environment. We looked at photographs of towns in the past and present and discussed the changes that occurred and reasons for those changes. In addition, the children conducted excellent research projects based on famous world buildings and also famous Irish buildings. The idea for our research projects came from the wonderful observational drawings the children completed during visual art time. The children created terrific drawn representations of one of Cork’s most iconic buildings; Cork County Hall.
