Fourth class have been busy focusing on environmental issues of late. After exploring transportation firsts and the evolution of modern transport the children designed and created their own unique modes of transport. These models of transport were constructed using only recycled materials found at home and in school.
To further explore our understanding of fossil fuel use and renewable energy, we were paid a visit by Sustainable Energy Ireland. The children were engaged in activities discovering ways of creating clean energy and reducing pollution. One of the most popular activities was generating electricity by using lemons, copper, zinc and cables.
