Tuesday 13th May was a day marked with an added air of anticipation, energy and excitement for fourth class. The traditional end of year school tour had finally arrived with a welcome hint of summer sunshine. This was a promising start to the day as fourth class, along with a number of other classes, departed school on the comfortable journey to The Glen Resource Centre on the north-side of Cork City.
It was at The Glen Resource Centre that the children experienced a whole range of fun activities, sports and games, which challenged and entertained them continually for the duration of the tour day. The majority of these activities featured group interaction and teamwork with examples such as crate stack, dodge ball and team challenge but also included the individual thrill of the zip-line high wire! We all had a fantastic action-packed day and returned to school late afternoon with great memories and a little less energy!
