METNS 6th class debating team came 2nd out of 20 Cork schools in Concerns Primary Debating Competition. What an achievement. A huge congratulations to our team who spoke with such confidence, enthusiasm and passion. They represented the school with such pride in Boole 1 in UCC yesterday with the Lord Mayor and over 200 guests in attendance.
We’d like to congratulate our opposition team Gaelscoil Mhanistir na Corann who succeeded in getting the motion “Todays children will inherit a better world” carried yesterday. Well done to all the outstanding debaters yesterday and to all our wonderful 6th class pupils who supported and helped research each topic along the way. It was a team effort! We are so proud.
