A huge congratulations to our 6th class debating team who travelled to Kilcredan National School yesterday for round 1 of Concerns debating competition. We were so so proud of METNS who WON the debate! We vigorously opposed the motion “People should be fined for not recycling”.Our debating team was captained by Thomas. Our other incredible team members were Mary Kate, Kyle,Nell, Louis, Gaia and Basmalla. All team members spoke so articulately and confidently on the day. We then had a whole class debate also against our opponents. Well done to everyone involved in the debate. Thank you to our hosts Kilcredan and to their debating team too. They were an excellent team and not easy opponents for us with some really strong arguments! It was a great occasion for all.
