We wrote recounts about Our Weekend, A day in the life of an animal, A day in the life of a Norman and a world war 2 diary.

Poetry  by Vanessa

We read the poem, The loner, by Julie Holden.

We responded to the poem and we wrote our own poetry based on emotions we feel at school.

 

Drama by George

We did drama games and improvisations. We wrote our own scripts based on Irish and Greek mythology.

 

History by Matthew

We learned about the Maya, the Normans, World War II and the Greeks.

The Normans were from Viking descent and concurred Ireland in 1171.

In Maths we did data, place value and long division.

I find long division easy.

We learned about the history of Music.

We listened to Mozart and Beethoven.

We sang Shotgun, Only Human, These Days and This Is Me.

Harry taught us how to draw faces and shading.

We illustrated the story of the Native American trail of tears.

We reacted to music and painted from inspirational artists.

 

Ethics by Eliana

 At the start of September we discussed gender neutrality and our civil rights.

Later on in the term we talked about animal slaughter and wrote a recount from an animal’s point of view. We also discussed children’s rights.
