Diane’s Junior Infants are taking part in the Innocent for kids ‘Sow & Grow’ project. Innocent have teamed up with the social enterprise GIY (Grow It Yourself) on the project.
The aim of the project is to encourage kids to grow their own veg to help them better understand where their food comes from.
By growing it themselves, it is hoped that children are more likely to eat (and enjoy eating) fruit and veg and continue with healthy eating habits for the rest of their lives.
Keep an eye on our ‘Sow & Grow’ pots on the window sills in our classroom. We are growing:
• Baby carrots
• Cress
• Runner beans
