Junior Infants having Autumn fun!

Junior infants have enjoyed learning lots of nursery rhymes so far this term. They have great fun learning about words that rhyme and listening out for silly rhyming words when their teachers say the wrong words! With the lovely weather we have been having, Junior Infants enjoyed a nature walk where they looked for signs of Autumn. There are lots of leaves, conkers and even a furry hedgehog or two to be seen in our classrooms! The boys and girls are now experts at matching and sorting objects into sets! They really liked participating in lots of hands on activities during Maths week and playing interactive Maths games. They have been learning lots of amhráin and rann in Gaeilge and are using Gaeilge regularly throughout the school day which is great to hear. On our last day of school for mid-term break, there were lots of spooky outfits to be seen in all the Junior Infant classes.
