Junior Infants were busy learning about Winter through Aistear. We enjoyed the story ‘Say Hello to the Snowy Animals’ and learned the names of loads of polar animals like the caribou, husky, snowy owl and arctic hare. We learned lots of Winter vocabulary and designed patterns for wooly Winter hats, scarves and gloves.
We also had a lot of fun preparing for our ‘Winter Performance’. Our teachers, families and friends were very proud of our songs and poems that we performed. We celebrated our achievements so far this year with a fun trip to Jungle World. We are looking forward to lots more fun, exploring and learning in 2017.
