What is an Educate Together School?
Educate Together national schools are mainstream national schools, operating according to the Rules for National Schools as determined by the Dept. of Education & Science. There are currently 81 Educate Together National Schools in Ireland- four of which are located in Cork. In recent years 9 Second Level Educate Together Schools have opened.

How do these schools differ from other National Schools?
Educate Together schools differ in ethos from many other national schools in that they are:
Multi-denominational i.e. all children having equal rights of access to the school, and children of all social, cultural and religious backgrounds being equally respected,
Co-educational and committed to encouraging all children to explore their full range of abilities and opportunities,
Child centred in their approach to education,
Democratically run with active participation by parents in the daily life of the school, whilst positively affirming professional role of the teachers
