4th Class News – October

As autumn approached with a change in conditions, forth class decided to examine the impact of the autumn weather on our daily lives.

We discussed how unpleasant weather would change and alter our own regular day at school, before identifying certain jobs that are heavily affected by unfavourable weather conditions.

This naturally led to the examination of weather forecasting and the prediction of weather systems. Using the school yard as our base we became familiar with the three main types of cloud formations and what each cloud represented. Once familiar we observed and recorded cloud formation, external temperature wind direction and wind strength on a daily basis.
