A fun filled first few weeks in Junior Infants

The first few weeks at school for Junior Infants is such a special time. They have already learned so much and made many new friends. They have enjoyed singing songs and saying rhymes both through Irish and English. I have been told that one of their favourite things at school is story-time. This is a magical time as the children enjoy using their imaginations whilst listening to new and old stories such as ‘The Smartest Giant in Town’ and ‘The Gingerbread Man’.

In maths they have spent time making sets and identifying objects that have the same properties. Whilst in other subjects they have explored the surroundings of the school, learned new playground games and had fun painting Hey Diddle Diddle’s cow jumping over the moon. Enjoy looking at some of the photographs capturing the children’s first few weeks at school.
