Don’s 3rd Class Smoothie : The Fruity Express !

Today in class, we finally got to make and taste our wonderful healthy smoothie recipe as part of the Health Promoting Schools Committee promotion of healthy eating.Most of us really enjoyed it and can’t wait to try making it ourselves again at home.

The Fruity Express Smoothie

Ingredients to Serve 4 People (600ml):

  • 200ml Fresh Orange Juice
  • 1 Banana
  • 2 Strawberries
  • 30g Mango chunks
  • 50g Blueberries
  • 1 tbsp Agave Syrup

Equipment:

  • Blender/Chopping Board/Cups/Sieve/Sharp knife (adult help)

Method:

  1. Wash all of the fruit.
  2. Cut the fruit into chunks.
  3. Put all the ingredients into the blender.
  4. Blend ingredients until smooth.
  5. Pour the freshly made smoothie into 4 cups.
  6. Enjoy with a plain rice cake – delicious 🙂
