We have been very busy in Múinteoir Ailsing’s First Class this week. We were all delighted to see each other again after the Christmas holidays. We had a lot of news and stories to share with our friends. We were also very busy learning about Winter. We carried out a weather watch this week and discovered that January’s weather can change drastically from day to day! We have also learned about how animals protect themselves from the cold weather in the Polar regions. They use different types of adaptations that range from fur coats to migration. Humans, however, rely on shelter and clothing to keep warm. With this in mind we designed our very own ‘Winter Wooly Hats’ using recycled materials. It looks like we might have some future fashion designers in our class. Watch this space!
