Human Rights Promotion

During the month of October our school focused on the promotion of human rights. This is a very important and relevant area for all. The pupils in Third Class showed huge interest in this topic. We decided to focus our attention particularly on human rights activist Nelson Mandela. Initially, in class we, touched on Mandela’s teachings and message. The children then went away and produced a project based on Nelson Mandela. The work put in by all was incredible! Everyone was then given the opportunity to present their work and share their take on Mandela’s message. Luckily for us, Aldina (Lea’s Mum), agreed to talk to the children about her time in South Africa and further reiterate Nelson Mandela’s message. Aldina delivered a wonderful presentation through the use of powerpoint, photographs and story. We all really enjoyed it. Thank you Aldina!
