It has been a great few months for the children of third class. There was a lot of hard work put in across the curriculum, as well as a fabulous opportunity to complete a course of yoga with Irene. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to avail of her extensive experience and engage in this practice. We even managed to learn the story of Setanta through yoga!! A big thank you to Irene for all the time and effort she put into planning and facilitating our sessions.
A fantastic Winter Fair was held by the Parents Association. Beautiful artwork was created for the school’s Winter Fair by all the classes throughout the school. Our class produced gorgeous hand-made reindeer gift tags. Each gift tag was original and unique, just like the children that made them 🙂
Literacy ‘Power-Hour’ has also begun in our classroom. A special thank you is owed to Múinteoir Aideen. She comes into our class from Monday- Thursday and helps support the development of our reading fluency as well as promoting a love of reading. A range of books and short stories are currently being devoured by the boys and girls which is wonderful to see!
A huge well done to all the boys and girls for the effort they put into their Winter Performance. A variety of songs and poems were learned for this event. In addition, a dance routine choreographed by the children (with a little help from Múinteoir) was performed and it was lovely to see everyone involved and giving it their best effort. We definitely have some star performers in 3rd class!! Well done to all!
