During the month of February our class explored the theme of kindness. We discussed what it means to be kind, how to show kindness and why kindness is so important in our everyday life.
One of our aims throughout the month (and beyond) was to recognise the need to also be kind to ourselves. This involves listening to our body and understanding how we are feeling. This is turn will help us to treat our body kindly by exercising, eating healthily, resting or expressing our feelings with confidence.
One of the most rewarding activities explored during February was to create a kindness tree. Each child shared an act of kindness that they did recently and wrote it down on coloured card. This was then added to the kindness tree and put on display outside our classroom for others to see and discover.
