In recent weeks Alan’s 2nd class have stepped out of the classroom to experience the new surroundings of our school even further. We were delighted when our incredible hall became available to use so we wasted little time getting to grips with the new space. It’s been a big hit with the children so far and we’re always excited to use the space.
In the wake of Storm Ophelia some boundary trees became uprooted close to the senior yard. These fallen trees were later cut into sections to be taken away but before their removal 2nd class took the opportunity to examine them closely. Being able to take our classroom knowledge outside to investigate the different sizes of tree rings was an experience that was full of discovery and hands on learning.
