2nd Class Stretch Body & Mind

Alan’s 2nd class have began first term in our fantastic new school building with some wonderful new routines. Our class have been engaging in a weekly yoga class with Irene Hurley in our newly established ‘Yoga Room’. This large open space has proven ideal for the children to enjoy the harmonious atmosphere created through reflective activities, paired discussions and yoga movements that will improve physical balance and coordination. At the outset of each class the children have the opportunity to express how they are feeling on that particular morning. This exercise forms the basis of exploring key feelings that children encounter daily and helps them to develop a sense of personal understanding and awareness.
