4th Class December News

As December arrived fourth class were initially busy creating white winter wreaths for The Winter Fair. We embraced the spirit of the festive season by working together in small groups to make, shape and decorate our wonderful winter wreaths. We hope they have found pride of place in their new surroundings!

Fourth class have also been spending some time learning a new poem and song (yet to be revealed) for our upcoming class performance this week and hope to see you all on the day.

In addition we have also explored the rugged Irish coastline, examining some of its key headlands, lighthouses and islands. This has led us to discover some interesting facts on each, including Mizen Head, Hook Lighthouse, Cape Clear and Spike Island that rests in our own Cork Harbour.

Fourth class would like to send our very best wishes to all families, pupils and staff members of METNS during this festive Christmas season. We hope you all have a happy and healthy time and see you safe for 2014.
