4th Class January

2016 began in high spirits with the children getting reacquainted after the winter break and exchanging stories about their well deserved break. There was an added air of excitement as January marked the beginning of our six week swimming schedule. During some of our Maths activities this month we focused on the use of money and calculating answers based on various questions. This also gave us the chance to bring personal collections of foreign currency into class to display share and discuss. The children brought a fantastic range of currencies originating from Thailand, Nigeria, Singapore, Romania, England, Scotland and the USA. It was also great to see old Irish coinage too that some of the children had collected.
