First Class scientists at work.

First class really enjoyed Science week.  We learned how the force of air can make things move. We made a balloon rocket which was able to fly across the classroom. We had fun learning about chemical reactions. We used pipettes to add baking soda and food colouring to lemons and we created a lemon volcano! We also showed how pressurized air will withstand force. We blew up some balloons and placed them on the floor. We turned a table on top of the balloons and we made a prediction that the balloons would pop. However, we managed to get three children to step on top of the table and still no balloons popped! Check out the many more experiments that we did including static electricity and we even made our very own Lava lamps!
