Healthy Eating in Junior Infants

Junior Infants are enjoying Active Week this week and we are exploring lots of fun ways to be fit and healthy. Some of the boys and girls told me that they didn’t like exercise but once we talked about it and realised cycling, swimming, running and playing are all forms of exercise they changed their minds.

We are also discovering what types of food are healthy and unhealthy. Last week we made fruit salad which was very yummy! We mostly enjoyed chopping up the bananas and sprinkling blueberries on top. Have a look at the photos to see some very happy children and some delicious fruit salad creations!
