Jolly January in Diane’s 1st Class

Diane’s first class have been learning loads since returning after Winter break. We spent time learning all about the weather forecast and the counties in Ireland. We watched the lunchtime weather forecast daily on RTÉ which inspired us all to be weather forecast presenters! There was a range of weather around the country when we each presented a weather report for the class, from snow in Cork and Kerry to heatwaves in Galway and Mayo! We had a great day celebrating World Religion Day in our classroom and with the rest of the school. Some of the children in our class taught us loads of interesting facts about Judaism and Islam in particular. We learnt about other religions around the world also and we were amazed to hear that there are over 4,000 religions in the world.
