First Class A had a spook-tacular time ending off term 1 with a Halloween fashion show and disco. It was wonderful to see all the scary and creative costumes. We even made a witches potion and learnt what happens when acids and alkalis are mixed together. Thanks to Antonina for giving me a lend of her witches hat to help make the spooky potion/experiment.
Norma from the Nurture room happened to be passing our classroom and joined me to hear a wonderful rendition of “Daddy fell into the Pond” which was so much fun for all.
We are slowly starting to move into the excitement of the Christmas season. Last week we learnt about penguins and in Art we drew our own penguin families.
I am really enjoying my weekly Friday lunch dates where children in their turns get to have lunch with me while we all continue to get to know each other.
