On Friday 7th of October , the METNS cross country team were back in action after three years of the event not going ahead. We sent a huge team of 50 pupils to the event at Ballymacoda sports field near Ladysbridge. On arrival, and some feeling quite nervous, we were given blue running bibs with the school logo on the front. Pupils from 2nd to 6th class participated in seperate boys and girls races and all received a drink when they crossed the finish line (capri sun, chocolate milk ór fruit juice).
Three of our athletes Mamadi (6th class) Cayetayna (4th class) and Evie(2nd class) also received medals for coming in the top 15 in their age category.
We had a great day out and arrived back at school at home time-which was perfect!
