This year the METNS cross country team of 42 pupils from 2nd to 6th class went to the Fr. O’Neill’s Sports Field in Ballymacoda and raced against around 40 different East Cork schools and came back with an amazing result of four medals for pupils who finished in within the top 15 for their age group. Every single pupil who ran in this event should be very proud and happy with their performance and the four pupils who won medals should be extra proud because it is very hard to do so, because the races are hugely competitive and crowded and there is a lot of waiting around to do. We felt really lucky to have the chance to participate.
